Christian Kalwa, DVM

Dr. Kalwa grew up in central New Jersey before moving on down to Wilmington to attend UNC-Wilmington for undergraduate courses. There he completed his undergraduate degree in marine biology and chemistry. While attending UNC-Wilmington, Dr. Kalwa began to volunteer at A Country Veterinary Clinic and eventually became an assistant at the practice. He then applied for and was accepted to North Carolina State's College of Veterinary Medicine. While there he focused on small animal medicine before graduating with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation Dr. Kalwa moved back to Wilmington to work at A Country Veterinary Clinic as an associate and eventual Chief of Staff.

During his free time Dr. Kalwa can be found out on the water, playing a number of different sports, or socializing on the pickleball courts for hours on end.
